All my functional pots are stoneware, lead free, dishwasher and oven safe. The only precaution is to avoid sudden changes of temperature. For instance, do not put a chafing dish (casserole) directly under the broiler, or put a dish directly from the freezer into a hot oven. Other than that, use them hard and often!
Most pots are unique and are pictured individually. Some, sourdough starter crocks, butter crocks and butter dishes, are nearly identical, with some variation, as I can neither throw nor paint the same way twice. One is pictured, and the one you get will be similar.
I usually very lightly glaze the exterior of my bowls and chafing dishes. I like the look of the “raw” clay highlighting the textures. This also serves to make the bowl or chafing dish less slippery for ease in removing from the oven and washing. I have pictured the exterior in a few examples. They do not differ much.
